Spinal Physiotherapy
in Mornington
Back or neck pain can make even simple daily activities feel difficult. Whether you are dealing with persistent lower back pain, stiffness after sitting at your desk, or discomfort that keeps returning, our spinal physiotherapy is designed to help you move more comfortably and confidently.
At The Balance Lab, we take the time to understand your symptoms, how they affect your life and what you want to get back to doing.
What is spinal physiotherapy?
Spinal physiotherapy focuses on assessing and treating conditions affecting the neck, mid-back and lower back, including the joints, muscles, discs and nerves that support spinal movement.
Pain can develop through injury, prolonged loading, reduced movement or changes in how your body responds to everyday activities.
Our approach is to understand what is contributing to your symptoms, rather than simply treating the area that hurts. From there, we develop a personalised plan to reduce pain, restore movement and help you manage your spinal health over the long term.
Conditions we treat
Our approach
With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Will takes the time to understand how your spine moves, what may be contributing to your symptoms and how pain is affecting your daily activities.
Your treatment may include hands-on manual therapy, joint mobilisation, dry needling, targeted strengthening exercises and practical advice for managing movement and activity at home or work.
Where appropriate, we also provide structured rehabilitation for people recovering from spinal injuries or surgery, helping you gradually rebuild strength, mobility and confidence.
Every treatment plan is evidence-based and tailored to your needs. Our goal is not simply to provide temporary relief, but to help you develop the strength, movement and understanding to manage your spinal health with confidence.
What to expect at your first appointment
Your initial consultation runs for around 30 minutes. Will will discuss your symptoms and medical history, assess your spinal movement, strength and nerve function where appropriate, and explain his findings in plain language.
You will leave with a clearer understanding of your condition and the first steps of your treatment plan. If your symptoms suggest that further medical investigation is needed, Will will recommend the appropriate next steps.
Important: Seek urgent medical attention if back pain is accompanied by new bladder or bowel control problems, numbness around the groin, or progressive leg weakness. These symptoms can indicate a serious condition requiring immediate assessment.
